Openmap International (“Openmap,” “we,” or “us”) operates Openmap at openmap.live. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the service.
Information we handle
This may include your sign-in details, such as display name and verified email; worlds, buildings, map edits, labels, uploaded files, sharing links, invitations and collaboration activity; and basic device, connection and service-log information. Essential sign-in cookies and browser storage are used for settings and session functions.
If browser permission is granted, the map may read precise location while open. A live presentation can share the presenter’s location with its viewers; that live-session state is removed when the session ends or expires. When you use AI building features, relevant prompts, building details and coordinates may be sent to OpenAI through Replit. Coordinates may also be sent to Nominatim/OpenStreetMap for reverse geocoding.
Payments and providers
Stripe processes payments and subscriptions; Openmap stores billing identifiers and subscription status, not full card numbers. Openmap also uses Clerk for sign-in, Replit for hosting, database and file storage, Resend for transactional email, and CARTO for map tiles. These providers handle information needed to provide their services.
How information is used and shared
We use information to operate and protect Openmap, save and share your work, provide AI and paid features, send service emails and handle support requests. A person with a world’s share link may be able to view that world; live-tour information is shared with that tour’s viewers. We do not use advertising pixels, advertising services or third-party analytics.
Children
Children from age two may use Openmap only through an account owned and supervised by a parent or guardian. The adult is responsible for the account and the child’s use. The app does not currently provide independent child accounts or verified parental consent.
Retention and requests
We keep account and content information while needed to provide the service and meet security, legal and accounting needs. The current app has no self-service account-deletion control. To request access, correction or deletion, email premiumproject2u@gmail.com. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or for security and billing purposes.
Security and changes
We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy and post the revised version on Openmap.
